Image of the day: Bionic Commando’s walk in the park
The new Bionic Commando is one of those games that feels nostalgic, without really being nostalgic. The graphics look sharp and there’s this tingling hope that it just might be fun to play, as well. Still, every time a franchise gets reinvented there’s a collective holding of the breath by the gaming community, and there are few more revered classics that have so far avoided modern cashing-in than Bionic Commando. How will the final product fare? If this new image of the Park level is any indication, at least it has some interesting level design. As always, click the image for a larger version.

This fan art of Mario Party (well, of Mario at least) is pretty bizarre. Is Wario crying? Did Bowser set him ablaze? What are Mario and Luigi doing? Did Peach transform to Godzilla? All those questions and more will be answered…probably never. Well, at least until the original artist is tracked down and explains themselves.

I love the look of this game so far. It looks like a mix of I Am Legend and Drake’s Fortune. It has huge expanses of city with no one in it and really gives off the post apocalyptic vibe.
