30 Rock tackles uncanny valley with world’s first porn video game
30 Rock has steadily become one of television’s finest shows. In fact, it’s easily the best sitcom on right now. Part of that winning appeal comes from its biting satire that has really taken off in the show’s current second season. Thursday’s episode turned to video games of a decidedly adult nature.
Tracy Jordan, the character played by Saturday Night Live alum Tracy Morgan, decides he must leave his children a legacy. This is all in response to the fact that his son did not invite him to Bring Your Father to School Day. So, what brilliant scheme does he arrive at? Combining his two favorite pleasures–porn and video games.
That’s a fine joke by itself, but the real charm comes from the development of the game. It sparks a debate with one of the characters over the nature of the Uncanny Valley, which then leads to a very funny Star Wars analogy. Unfortunately, the episode ends before the inevitable firestorm the game will surely bring. You’ll just have to tune into a future episode for that. Two clips from the episode are presented, in order. Click here to view the full episode at Hulu.com.

As energy prices sky rocket the prices of solar panels will only go up. This will hopefully prove that solar panels will be a great investment for anyone wanting to save some money or help the environment. Either way, solar panels really should be at the top of the “to do” list.
