Well, after much hype and hope, we finally have our first look at Banjo Threeie, the third in the Banjo Kazooie series.  How does it look so far?  Well, actually, it looks a lot like Diddy Kong Racing 2 so far.  Actually, a whole lot like it.

Rare has certainly stumbled as of late.  Kameo wasn’t too bad, but Perfect Dark Zero left most feeling a bit empty.  Viva Piñata actually wasn’t that bad of a game, but it certainly was targeted at a niche market, even if you could get past the super saccharine look.  Many are holding out hope that Banjo will return them once again to their former greatness, but while interesting, these screen shots do nothing to confirm such a return.  Click the images above for larger versions.
