Xbox Live comes to the iPhone…sort of

Sure, you have your flashy new 3G with its copy of Super Monkey Ball, but what about your other consoles?  Don’t they deserve some love from ’s super, duper cell phone?  Apparently someone else agrees.

Introducing the iXboxLive app for iPhones.  The app is basically a buddy list that allows you to view selectively chosen (by you) friends via your .  You can see what games they’re playing, their gamer score and pic, and more.  What you cannot do is send them messages via the interface, or safely add more than twelve contacts to your list.  For most, however, this is plenty as any more than that they likely don’t play with on a real regular basis.  For the more hardcore they’ll just have to wait.
