Microsoft claims sales doubled since price drop

Microsoft would like you to know that since dropping the price on the (all three SKUs), that they have seen sales double.  That’s right, two times the sales before the price drop.  Of course, that’s hardly a coup with their last place sales as of late.

Still, it’s a positive sign for a system that was starting to appear a bit stagnant.  Sure, there’s lots of nice looking games coming out this fall for the 360, but many of the headlines were being grabbed by Nintendo and Sony instead.  Now the question is whether they can keep sales up, or if this was all just a momentary bump from those who were waiting to save $50.
