Microsoft claims sales doubled since price drop
Sep 11th
Microsoft would like you to know that since dropping the price on the Xbox 360 (all three SKUs), that they have seen sales double. That’s right, two times the sales before the price drop. Of course, that’s hardly a coup with their last place sales as of late.
NBA Live 09 still looks… awkward
Jul 25th
The NBA Live series was once the dominant basketball franchise back in the 16-bit days. But for years now it has been overshadowed by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K series. Each year Electronic Arts makes new promises, and each year they’re still a few steps behind.
Sonic Unleashed gets a little hairy and viral
Jul 16th
Sonic Unleashed is the last glimmer of hope among many Sonic fans that the little blue Hedgehog might finally get one last decent console game. It’s been a while since Sonic Adventure 2, and even that was a step down from the original Sonic Adventure. The above trailer appears to be part of a semi-viral advertising campaign for the little blue fellow. E3 2008: Microsoft press conference review
Jul 15th
There was a time when E3 was a really, really big deal. Now, it’s simply a really big deal. Cardboard dreams for the Halo 3 Kid
Jul 12th
File this one under bizarre, but this young man has suddenly put some impressive work into his hobby. The video showcases a young man who has essentially recreated all of Halo’s weaponry from cardboard. Sure, that isn’t as impressive as some models, but considering the time and effort spent by someone so young, this is well worth seeing. When you see him pull out the machine gun turret, that’s when you know this kid is truly cool.
First look at Banjo Threeie
May 11th
Well, after much hype and hope, we finally have our first look at Banjo Threeie, the third in the Banjo Kazooie series. How does it look so far? Well, actually, it looks a lot like Diddy Kong Racing 2 so far. Actually, a whole lot like it.
First look at Gears of War 2 gameplay
May 10th
The original Gears of War is mostly a take it or leave it kind of game. With all the hype surrounding it, many were turned off by its less-than-revolutionary gameplay. Still, those people were obviously in the minority as the game sold a ton and helped cement the Xbox 360′s position ahead of the PS3 for a while to come (no such luck with the Wii).
The best of Halo 3 betrayals
Apr 25th
If there’s one thing that keeps Halo 3 fresh, it’s the opportunity to kill your teammates in wonderfully wild, inventive manners. Yes, your teammates. Killing the other guy is so last gen. Anyway, here are two of the best betrayal videos out there.
