There’s nothing wrong with obsession, except when it leads to stalking some actress outside of her Beverly Hills mansion every night. Otherwise, though, obsession channeled in the right direction can lead to cool things like a working Lego version of the arcade classic Donkey Kong. Take that Calvin Klein.
This site has featured Zelda landscapes created from Legos in the past. This site has featured CG animated Zelda video adventures in the past. Now, finally, comes the Lego Legend of Zelda adventure video. Yes, this is stop motion. Yes, this is crudely done. And yes, it is pretty cool despite its flaws. One question left, though. When will all the video game Lego madness end?
How do you improve upon one of the best adventure film series of all-time? With Legos, of course! That’s just what this May’s Lego Indiana Jones hopes to do. This new game trailer shows plenty of the wit and charm previously expressed in the LegoStar Wars titles. The game’s graphics are quite pleasant and the two natives showcased should perhaps get their own spin off game. The best part? Is that a Crash Bandicoot homage, which itself was an Indiana Jones homage?
Have Legos been on the minds of gamers a lot lately? Apparently, but this one looks almost like a real play set you would buy off a store shelf. Are you listening, Nintendo? There are a ton of Nintendo nerds who would snap up such a line of products. One can only imagine the horror, though, of getting up in the middle of the night to accidentally step on a tiny, jagged Kirby. Click on the image for a full sized version.
While fans of the Indiana Jones series wait patiently for the newest film in the series, LucasFilm is attempting to quench your thirst with a new Special Edition of all three previous films along with a neat surprise.
Scheduled for a May 13 release date, the special edition will feature restored and remastered versions of Indy’s previous hoorahs and exclusive behind the scenes extras. Considering there is a large majority of fans who already have the special edition that was released in 2003, you’re probably wondering what is so great about this one. (more…)
No, this isn’t the video you are hoping it is. Nintendo hasn’t yet given Star Fox the Lego treatment (though just about every other game is getting it). However, this visualization of the original Star Fox game using only Legos is pretty remarkable all the same. Note that the arwing doesn’t move, but the level around it. It’s a nice touch for fans of the classic game series.
Everyone loves LEGOs, and with the swell of LEGO based games in the past few years, and the upcoming Batman and Indiana Jones titles, it seems a ripe time to take advantage of everyone’s favorite colored blocks.
In Electronic Gaming Monthly’s April edition they showed an exclusive first look at an upcoming HaloLEGO game featuring Master Chief blasting at Elite’s as he runs down a very familiar looking corridor. With the success of the recent LEGOStar Wars games it would make sense for them to take advantage of the success of both franchises. However, there is some speculation that this is all just an elaborate April Fool’s Day joke by the staff at EGM.
Sadly, it seems that it is actually a clever prank thought up by Michael Donahoe over at EGM. But for every bit of fiction there is a smidgeon of truth and perhaps Microsoft will run with this unique idea and cash in on the success of this expanding franchise.
LegoStar Wars was a huge surprise hit for many. While the idea of a good Lego game has intrigued many for years, the mix with Star Wars didn’t seem the best way to go about achieving that first big hit. Well, the many were wrong. Now, the follow-ups LegoIndiana Jones and Lego Batman arrive with quite a bit of hype. We’ve been seeing images of Lego Batman for a while now, but this image of LegoIndiana Jones sure is fun.
